About

Muleshoe Bend in Spicewood, northwest of Austin, Texas, is part of the Capt'n Karl's Night Trail Run Series at the Muleshoe Bend LCRA Recreation Area. On June 26, 2027, it offers a 60K (37.3 miles) and a 30K (18.6 miles) at 7 p.m., a 20K (12.4 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) at 7:30 p.m., a Sunset 5K at 8 p.m. and a Youth 1-Mile Trail Run for ages 12 and under at 6:30 p.m.

Rocky, technical trails with significant elevation change make it a formidable opponent, especially in the region's heat and humidity. Set in the peaceful Lower Colorado River and Lake Travis area, it is a quiet but demanding adventure, with dense vegetation and no breeze. Participants receive swag as an added reward for this tough, intense endurance test.
