The Mt. Sneffels Marathon/Half takes place in the San Juan Mountains of Ouray County, based in Ridgway, on August 15, 2027. The event is known for its full marathon, half marathon and kids' fun run; the races listed for this edition are the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) at 7:00 a.m. and a 10K (6.2 miles) at 7:30 a.m.

The scenic courses run mostly on dirt roads. All finishers of the shorter races receive a finisher medal, and T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for early registrants. The event is cupless, so participants must carry their own water container. Registration is capped at 500 participants.
