About

The Mother's Day Run takes place in Santa Monica, California, in the Los Angeles area, and honors mothers through a community run. It is open to everyone, whatever your pace or age, and you can run or walk in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Distances are a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K, a 5K and a family 1-mile fun run, all starting at 7:30 a.m.

Timing is optional, so runners can track their own time with an app or with help from coordinators. Participants receive a gift bag with a shirt, a medal and digital training tools, and running clubs are available to support them. A virtual option offers more flexibility, and runners can donate miles logged after the event to support various charitable causes.
