Mobile Marathon

Mobile Marathon is run in Mobile, Alabama, on January 10, 2027. The full marathon (26.2 miles) and the half marathon (13.1 miles) start together at 7:30 a.m., and a 1.2 mile fun run follows in the middle of the day at 12:30 p.m. With only three options on the schedule, the event stays focused on the two classic road distances rather than on a festival of races.

A January date means the bulk of your build falls across the autumn, so the plan has to survive the holidays. Give yourself 16 weeks for the full and 12 for the half, with one long run each week, and settle on your distance well before race morning, since the two share a start line and second thoughts at 7:30 a.m. rarely end well. The 1.2 mile fun run comes much later in the day, which gives family members something to run once you have finished.
