About

Presented every year by The Milford Bank in Milford, Connecticut, the Milford Moves for Veterans 5K is a 5K run/walk that raises money for local veterans groups: the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Veterans of America and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

The race starts and finishes at Lisman Landing (Milford Landing Marina). The chip-timed 5K (3.1 miles) goes off at 9:00 a.m. and is free for active-duty military and veterans. At 8:40 a.m., kids ages 1 to 10 can run the free, non-competitive Run For The Flag, a 200-yard dash.
