About

Medal Madness takes place in Savannah, Georgia, in early March, with a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles). All three are road races with a time limit to finish.

Every finisher receives a medal, and there are chances for awards and for fun costume contests. Savannah is flat, and early March is usually mild, which suits runners trying to log an early-season distance. Humidity can build quickly in the Lowcountry, though, so pace yourself in the first miles and take fluids at the aid stations. Check the official race page for start times and course details before you travel.
