About

The Flying Pig Marathon takes place in Cincinnati, Ohio, over a weekend in early May, beside the Ohio River. Four road distances are on offer: a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) on Saturday, and a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a full marathon (26.2 miles) on Sunday. Cincinnati is built on hills, and runners often find that they are working harder than the map suggests, so it helps to practice on rolling terrain and to resist going out too fast on the early miles. Spectators on a riverside city course can make for an energetic atmosphere.
