The Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Marathon takes place in Nashville, Tennessee, over a weekend in late April, and the course passes along the famous Broadway. Five road distances allow everyone to take part at their own level: the marathon (26.2 miles), the half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles), a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile run on the Sunday. Nashville's rolling terrain and spring humidity can make a marathon harder than the map suggests, so it pays to train on hills and to start the first miles more slowly than you think you need to.
