The Maple Leaf Half Marathon is held in Manchester, Vermont, on the Saturday after Labor Day. Runners can choose between the half marathon (13.1 miles) and the Kotler 5K. Both races start from the recreation park on Recreation Park Road in Manchester Center.
The course leaves downtown, passes through village settings and follows country roads past farmland before heading back to the finish. The half marathon has a few hills, and early fall foliage often lines the route. The race is a community fundraiser, with proceeds donated to local charitable organizations.
