About

The Lucky O'possum takes place in Nancy, Kentucky, in Pulaski County, in the second half of March. The trail half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 9:00 a.m., the 10K (6.2 miles) at 10:00 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) run and 5K walk at 10:30 a.m.

Wooded trails and good views are on offer for runners of all levels. Participants receive unique medals featuring the event's mascot, the opossum, and the day is meant as a chance to be outdoors and enjoy the thrill of trail running. The trail walk gives families and newcomers a way to join in at a slower pace. Central Kentucky trails can be slick with leaves and mud in March, so choose shoes with decent traction.
