The Long Beach Classic Half and 5K takes place in Long Beach, California, in late May, with a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5K run/walk, both starting at 7:00 a.m. The coastal course is described as fast and flat along the scenic shoreline of Long Beach, with the Southern California coast as a backdrop, which suits runners aiming for a personal best as well as those who want an easy outing.

Afterward, a wine and food festival turns Marine Stadium into a party zone with live music, gourmet snacks, In-N-Out burgers and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
