Loberen Skovmarathon

The Loberen Skovmarathon in Hillerød is Denmark's oldest forest marathon. First held in 1995, it has become a much-loved autumn tradition and takes place on 1 November 2026, with a trail marathon, a half marathon and a 10 km, as well as shorter 6 km and 2 km races for children.

The event attracts around 300 marathon runners, 1,600 half marathon runners and 700 participants in the 10 km. The race is known for its scenic route through forests in their autumn colours. Medals are awarded to all marathon and half marathon finishers, and every participant receives a diploma, whatever the distance. With its friendly atmosphere and dedicated volunteers, the Skovmarathon offers runners an enjoyable day out in the open air.
