Leatherneck Run is held in Woodway, Texas, on November 7, 2026. Two formats start together at 8 a.m.: a 5K run (3.1 miles) and a 1-mile fun run/walk, so a family can split between the two and still finish around the same time.

Hosted by First Woodway Baptist Church, the race begins in the church parking lot and heads out through neighborhood streets, which means flat pavement and easy footing. Every finisher receives a medal, and awards go to the top man and woman plus the first three in each age group, from 12 and under through 75 and over. If you are aiming for one of those age-group spots, a few weeks of short, fast intervals sharpen a 5K more than extra mileage does.
