LBI Halloween Hustle

LBI Halloween Hustle is run in Surf City, New Jersey, on October 25, 2026. The 5K run and walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and the Little Monsters Dash for children follows at 9:45 a.m., on Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore.

The gap between the two starts is deliberate: adults race first, then the kids get their own event with an audience. For the 5K itself, pacing discipline tends to decide your result more than strength does. Go through the first mile a few seconds slower than goal pace, hold it through the second, and spend whatever is left in the last kilometer. A month of regular running covers the preparation.
