Las Vegas Marathon

Las Vegas Marathon is the city's biggest road race, held in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, on January 10, 2027. Three formats are offered: the full marathon (26.2 miles), the half marathon (13.1 miles) and the 702 Race, an unusual 7.02 miles named after the local area code. The fast city course links the desert at Red Rock Canyon to the heart of downtown, passing through Summerlin, Symphony Park, the 18b Arts District and Las Vegas Boulevard before finishing under the lights of the Fremont Street Experience.

Beyond the speed and the scenery, the event is known for its inclusive spirit, its youth training programs and a Community Cheer Challenge that keeps spectators involved along the route. The 702 Race is worth a look if you want more than a 10K without committing to a half marathon. For the marathon, a January date means a fall and early-winter build, usually 16 weeks with one long run a week, and a course billed as fast rewards even pacing far more than an ambitious opening half.
