About

The Lanikai 8K Run in Memory of Daniel Levey is a community 8K (about 5 miles) based at Kailua Beach Park, held in honor of Daniel Levey with the support of his family. It takes place on July 18, 2027, starting at 6:30 a.m.

The run/walk course starts at the Lanikai Monument and follows the Lanikai bike path, with beautiful ocean views and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Awards go to the top three men and women and to each age-group winner, and a special award is presented to the first finisher in Daniel's age group. Free shave ice is served after the race, and participants are encouraged to spend the rest of the day relaxing in Kailua or at Lanikai Beach.
