The Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon & 10K takes place in Lake Placid on October 9, 2027, with the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) and the 10K both starting at 8:00 a.m. The event has also introduced a new 5K course.

Designed for athletes as a test of endurance and speed, the races start and finish at the North Elba Horse Showgrounds and take runners along scenic courses surrounded by the region's stunning natural landscapes. With competitive races and more than 650 participants, awards are presented for overall and age-group results. The event also supports community well-being and youth sports programs while aiming for a sustainable race experience.
