The Lake Norman Forest Run takes place in Statesville, North Carolina, in early June, at Lake Norman State Park near Troutman. It is held over a weekend, with a half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:30 a.m. on the first day and a 5K at 7:45 a.m. on the second.

Runners of every level are invited to push themselves on scenic routes by the water. The event emphasizes community, health, wellness and the pleasure of being outdoors, giving both seasoned athletes and beginners a supportive racing environment.
