About
La Carrera de las Madres is a 5K (3.1 mi) road race held on May 8, 2027, in Chicago, Illinois. The proceeds support UNO's programmes for girls from sixth to twelfth grade, built around mentoring, leadership and academic support. Start times are not listed in our records.
A flat city 5K on a spring morning is the classic setting for a personal best: the field is large enough to find someone running your pace, and the course rarely holds surprises. Warm up for as long as the race itself — fifteen to twenty minutes of easy running with a few accelerations — because over 5K there is no time to find your rhythm once the gun has gone.
