Kahakuloa Half Marathon and Relays

The Kahakuloa Half Marathon and Relays takes place in Wailuku, on Maui, Hawaii, in early June. It begins at Fleming Beach in Kapalua and finishes in the village of Kahakuloa, with coastal views of Maui almost from start to finish. It is described as one of the most scenic half marathons in the United States and is often compared to the Big Sur half.

The course has rolling hills and is demanding rather than built for personal records. Options include the individual half marathon (13.1 miles) and 2-person and 4-person relays, with a field limited to 200 participants. Proceeds help restore the historic Kahakuloa Congregational Church. Expect heat, humidity and sun on exposed stretches, and bring a camera.
