About

The Idyllwild Race 5K / 10K is a mountain event with a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) run, inviting runners and walkers to discover the stunning scenery of Idyllwild-Pine Cove in Southern California's San Jacinto Mountains. Both courses wind through charming village streets and mountain forest roads, with sweeping views and crisp alpine air, starting near downtown Idyllwild.

On August 15, 2027, the 5K run and 5K walk start at 7:30 a.m., the 10K at 8:15 a.m. and the Kids Run (1 km) at 9:30 a.m. Top finishers in each age group and in the men's and women's categories receive commemorative medals or prizes. Participants get a race T-shirt and post-race refreshments and can browse local vendor booths. Proceeds benefit local schools, youth programs or community projects in Idyllwild.
