The Ice Breaker 8K is a 5-mile (8 km) trail race at Lakeside Park in Piedmont, South Carolina, near Gantt, on January 30, 2027, starting at 9 a.m. The course suits both beginner and experienced runners, winding along wooded trails with switchbacks and an aid station at a strategic point.

The event welcomes runners, walkers, hikers and their four-legged companions. Finishers receive medals, and awards go to the top runners. The park asks participants for a fee to help fund its operations, and discounts and referral programs are available for groups and friends.
