The Thursday Evening 5K Race (Sponsored by AREC) is an evening 5K in Long Beach, California, on July 22, 2027, starting at 6:30 p.m. Run as the "I'm Your Huckleberry 5K," it pays tribute to Val Kilmer, who died in 2025.

The out-and-back course follows the beachfront path, starting near Belmont Brewing Company. Finishers receive a unique medal and a finisher bib, with extra medals for the top three men and women. After the race, participants can enjoy a buffet and drinks on site, and results are posted online shortly after the event.
