The Hurricane 5k in Wilmington is a 5K (3.1 miles) organized by the Wilmington City Schools Wellness Committee to support local high school and middle school cross-country athletes. The race starts at 9:00 a.m. on June 12, 2027.
The course follows the Elizabeth J Looney Trail, with parking available nearby. Every finisher receives an award, and those who register by the stated deadline are guaranteed a T-shirt. Refreshments are served after the event.
