About

The Hometown Half Marathon & 5K/10K takes place in Houston, Texas, in early May, and every race starts at 7:00 a.m. The half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K and one-mile run are accompanied by a Kid's Dash. The annual event is aimed at families and includes electronic timing, live results and an awards ceremony.

Participants receive a designer shirt, a custom medal and a bib, along with free photos and treats at the finish. Pacers run the half marathon, a virtual option is available, young runners get reduced pricing on the 5K and 10K, and children ten and under in the kids' race receive special gifts. Houston is humid, so dress light, drink early and let the first few miles come easily.
