The Hometown BRC Half Marathon & 5K/10K takes place in Lansing, Michigan, in early May, with every race starting at 7:00 a.m. The half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K and 5K are joined by a one-mile run and a Kid's Dash, so runners of all ages and levels can pick a distance. Chip timing, live results and free race photos are included.

Every finisher receives a custom medal and a branded shirt, and a virtual option allows participants to join in from wherever they are. Michigan in early May can start cold and turn mild, so bring a throwaway layer for the wait at the start. If this is your first half, a steady even-paced effort is the best way to enjoy the finish.
