Hollywood Sign Run | Hike takes place in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California, on January 31, 2027. Four options are on offer: an 8-mile run or hike at 7:30 a.m., an 8K (5 miles) and a 5K trail at 7:50 a.m., and a 2.2K kids' run at 8:05 a.m. All are out-and-back routes to the Hollywood Sign Viewpoint, with views over downtown Los Angeles, the Griffith Observatory and Glendale.

Runners and hikers of every level are welcome. The event is chip-timed, with marked trails, volunteers on course, aid stations staffed by medical personnel, gear check and refreshments at the finish; every entrant receives a shirt, a finisher medal and free event photos. An out-and-back to a viewpoint means you earn the elevation on the way out and give it back on the return, so pace the outbound leg conservatively. Poles suit the 8-mile option if you intend to hike it.
