About

The Highlander Assault Dark Ages Night Obstacle Race takes place in Holiday Hills, Illinois, just outside Chicago and Milwaukee, on August 15, 2027, with 15K, 5K and 3K obstacle courses. Highlander Assault is one of the Midwest's premier obstacle race series.

Highlander Assault formats include an open course of 4 miles (6.4 km) or 8 miles (12.8 km) for ages 11 and up, an 8-mile (12.8 km) Elite Heat and a competitive marathon option in the morning. For a shorter challenge, the 3K Family Frenzy course is open to all ages in the afternoon. The obstacles are a unique mix inspired by the Highland Games, including archery and water challenges, as well as the famous Tilt-A-Kilt, named OCR Buddy Obstacle of the Year.
