About

The Haunted 5K, 10K, 13.1M & 26.2M at Athens, GA is run in Athens, Georgia, on October 9, 2027. It is the most complete version of the series: alongside the 5K, the 10K (6.2 miles) and the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), there is a marathon (26.2 miles / 42.2 km). All races start at 8:00 a.m.

The marathon changes the nature of the event. Over 26.2 miles, the goal is prepared months in advance, with a gradual increase in mileage, long runs and a fueling strategy practiced in training; given the Halloween theme, any costume is best kept as minimal as possible. The shorter distances remain open to those who simply want to take part: the 5K suits a first start line, the 10K a hard effort. Costumes and best times are rewarded, and every finisher receives a medal.
