Harvest Moon Hustle 10K

The Harvest Moon Hustle 10K takes place in Elmwood, Nebraska, on September 10, 2027. The single race, a 10K (6.2 miles), starts at 7:00 p.m. on the Mopac Trail, a flat, fast route run in the evening under the glow of the harvest moon and amid the fall foliage. The race is part of the Born & Raced In Nebraska series.

A flat 10K at dusk lends itself to a personal-best attempt: the heat has eased, the trail's even surface allows a steady pace and the profile calls for no surges. The catch with a late start is a whole day to manage before the effort, plus fading light toward the end. A full warm-up with a few strides at goal pace helps runners settle into rhythm from the very first stretch.
