About

Halloween Trick or Trot Run 5K/10K/13.1 SACRAMENTO takes place on the streets of Sacramento, California, on October 31, 2026. The half marathon (13.1 miles), the 10K, the 5K and a family one-mile fun run all start at 7:30 a.m. The annual race welcomes every level and finishers are given a runner shirt and a finisher medal.

Flat valley roads suit even pacing, so write down a target split and hold it rather than reacting to the runners around you. That discipline is what turns a Halloween race into a personal best rather than a fun run, and it applies at 5K just as much as at 13.1. Wave sizes are limited, a virtual entry exists for anyone who cannot travel, and there are complimentary treats and a crowd of other runners waiting once you stop your watch.
