About

Halloween Hustle 5 K | 8 K | Fun Run is on October 24, 2026 at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township, Michigan. The 1K fun run goes first at 9:00 a.m., then the 8K (about 5 miles) and the 5K run/walk start together at 9:30. Entry includes a long-sleeve shirt, a medal, chip timing, photos and refreshments, with age-group awards and costume categories such as Most Creative and Best Family/Group. Dogs and strollers are welcome, and the event supports Maggie's Wigs for Kids.

Having an 8K on the schedule is unusual and useful: it is long enough to demand real pacing but still short enough to race off a modest training week. Pick it if the 5K has started to feel easy. Runners with dogs or strollers should line up toward the back, and families can send the youngest out on the 1K half an hour earlier and still watch the main starts.
