About
The GWB Challenge takes place in Fort Lee, in Bergen County, New Jersey, on May 30, 2027, and gives runners and walkers the chance to cross the George Washington Bridge. Two road distances are on offer, a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles), each open to runners and walkers, with every wave starting at 7 a.m. The crossing of the bridge, regarded as an architectural landmark, is the highlight of the course.
The event supports the American Cancer Society, combining exercise with fundraising for cancer research and bringing the local community together behind the cause.
