About

The Griffin Pond Animal Shelter Rescue Run takes place on the Lackawanna Heritage Trail in Scranton on August 22, 2027, with a 10K, a 5K and a 2-mile fun walk, all starting at 9:00 a.m. It gives runners, walkers and families a chance to support the shelter, which cares for animals in need, and participants can run or walk on their own or as a team.

All proceeds go to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter to fund food, medical care and housing for the animals. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and every preregistered participant receives a Rescue Run T-shirt.
