Grand Traverse Trail Run

The Grand Traverse Trail Run is a roughly 40-mile ultramarathon linking Mount Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado, through the Elk Mountains. With more than 5,900 feet of climbing and a high-altitude route that follows a historic backcountry ski-race line, the course demands both fitness and solid route-finding skills. Run as a benefit for Crested Butte Nordic, the field is capped at 350 runners and typically sells out. Expect mandatory gear requirements, aid stations spaced far apart, and strict cutoff times along the way.
