About
The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler (GPT100) is a 162 km ultramarathon held near Laharum from 5 to 8 November 2026, and now part of the prestigious World Trail Majors (WTM) series. It challenges athletes with 7,700 metres of elevation gain on a rugged course from Mount Zero to Dunkeld, through the stunning wilderness of Gariwerd in the Grampians National Park.
The course is divided into four demanding sections, each served by substantial aid stations, and follows remote, rocky and well-marked trails that guide runners through the region's spectacular landscapes. Halls Gap, 260 km north-west of Melbourne, serves as the race base camp and is a lively hub for competitors from around the world.
The GPT100 Miler starts on 6 November at 8am, while the GPT100 Stage Race covers the same 162 km from 5 November (6am start). Shorter options are the GPT50k (49.5 km, 2,000 m of climbing, 5 November, 6am), the GPT33k (33 km, 1,555 m, 8 November, 6:45am) and the Dunkeld 5k Family Trail (8 November, 7:30am).
