Got Chocolate 5k/10k is held in Xenia, Ohio, on November 1, 2026, with both distances starting at 2 p.m. from Xenia Station: a 10K (6.2 miles) run/walk and a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk. The event is organized by Family Promise of Greene County and raises money for local families experiencing homelessness. You can walk, run, or roll along the bike trail, and results are posted online.

A paved rail-trail route means flat, predictable footing, which makes the 10K a good place to test even pacing and the 5K a fair shot at a personal best. Build toward it with a weekly tempo run and one longer easy run, and practice holding target pace on flat ground rather than rolling roads. Finishers get a chocolate celebration at the end, which is a reasonable reward for an afternoon effort.
