About

The GLOBAL "In Their Shoes 5K" is a 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk hosted by the Iraqi Children Foundation to benefit Iraqi orphans and vulnerable children. The 2026 race, the 14th annual edition, took place on August 29 from Shelter C at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia.

Participants can run or walk in person, and a virtual option lets anyone join from anywhere in the world. In 2026, there was no race-day registration.
