About

Ghost of the Coast Fun Run - FL is held in Fort Myers, Florida, on October 31, 2026. Both formats start together at 7:30 a.m.: the Ghost of the Coast 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk, so households can enter different distances without splitting up the morning.

A 7:30 a.m. start on the southwest Florida coast is deliberate, since it keeps you ahead of the heat and humidity that linger here well into the fall. Flat coastal roads reward steady pacing rather than surges, which makes the 5K a fair test of fitness. The mile is the better option for children, for anyone walking, or for a runner who wants to go genuinely hard for a single short effort and be finished in under ten minutes.
