The George Washington Patriot Run 5K & 10 Miler takes place in Mount Vernon on September 12, 2027, with a 10-miler (16.1 km) starting at 7:15 a.m. and a 5K at 7:30 a.m. Both races run along a scenic stretch of the George Washington Memorial Parkway.

Participants receive a commemorative T-shirt and medal, and awards go to overall and age-group winners as well as to military members and first responders. A finish festival features music, food and drinks. Runners also get free admission to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and active-duty public safety officers may qualify for a discount.
