About

The Frostbite Marathon Relay takes place in Holland, Michigan, in mid-January. Teams of runners share the 26.2 miles of a full marathon course, with a start at 8:00 a.m.

Each participant receives an embroidered quarter-zip sweatshirt along with food and drink tickets to use at a local pub. Teams are encouraged to get creative, and there is an award for the most impressive baton. The event celebrates teamwork and winter running. Cold wind and slick pavement are real possibilities in January, so each runner should bring warm layers to put on between legs, and teammates should agree on exchange points and timing before the gun goes off.
