The Floppin' Flounder 5K is a 5K run and walk (3.1 miles) on Sullivan's Island, near Charleston, South Carolina, on May 29, 2027, at 8:00 a.m. Organized by the Charleston Running Club and Sullivan's Island Fire & Rescue, this local race has a long tradition.
Every participant receives a race T-shirt and a medal. Proceeds benefit the fire department, the running club and local charities. Awards go to the top male and female finishers in each age group, with a special award for the fastest boy and girl under 12, in memory of a young club member.
