Flagstaff Sky Peaks

Flagstaff Sky Peaks takes place in Flagstaff, Arizona, on September 26–27, 2026. Organized by Aravaipa Running, the weekend packs in nine trail formats. Saturday, September 26, features a 50-mile (6:00 a.m.), a 50K (31 miles, 7:00 a.m.), a 26K (8:00 a.m.), an 11K (8:00 a.m.), a 5K (8:30 a.m.), and 6-hour and 12-hour timed events starting at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, September 27, adds a 20K and a 6K, both at 8:00 a.m. Flagstaff sits at high elevation, so altitude is part of every distance.

With this many options, you can match the race to your goals: the 5K, 6K, and 11K work for families and newer trail runners, the 20K and 26K for those ready for a longer mountain effort, and the 50K and 50-mile for ultrarunners. The timed events let you run as far as you can in a set window, which is useful if you want a long training day without a fixed distance.
