The Fighting the Fight Within 5K takes place at Veterans Serving Veterans Community Park in Cadillac, Michigan, with a professionally timed 5K (3.1 miles) and an untimed tribute walk. Both start at 9 a.m. on August 7, 2027.

Awards go to the top male and female runners in each age group. Proceeds benefit veterans' initiatives, including a support center and scholarships. The event also features local food trucks and a closing ceremony.
