About

The Fido Fest 5K and Fun Run in Newnan, Georgia, features a certified 5K (3.1 miles), officially a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race, and a 1-mile fun run, both on September 25, 2027. The fun run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

Organized by Hearts 'n Homes Rescue together with Ashley Park Newnan, the event raises money to help dogs and puppies in need in Coweta County, in support of the rescue's nonprofit mission. The program also includes the Puppy Prance Tot Trot for young runners, and the festivities continue after the race with food trucks and vendor booths. Vaccinated, leashed canine companions are welcome. Register early to be sure of a race T-shirt.
