About

Held in Lorton, Virginia, this scenic endurance trail race with 5.4-mile and 10-mile options runs through forest and meadow trails on the site of a former prison.

The course is mostly dirt and gravel with a few short paved sections, featuring plenty of short climbs and descents but no prolonged ascents. Start and finish take place at the Workhouse Arts Center. Runners can also support the local nonprofit Homestretch, which raises awareness and funds for services it provides to families in the region.
