About
The ENMU - Roswell Spring Blast takes place in Roswell, New Mexico, in early March, with a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles). The courses are flat out-and-back routes that run across the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell campus and around the Roswell Air Center.
Emergency medical services and aid stations are on hand, and the proceeds go to the ENMU-Roswell foundation to fund student scholarships. A flat course can suit runners aiming for a personal best, though out-and-back routes can bring a headwind on the way home. Roswell sits at about 3,600 feet in the high desert, where early March mornings are often cold and dry and afternoons warm up quickly, so dress in layers and drink even if you do not feel thirsty.
