About

The Empire State Half Marathon and its companion 5K take place at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, Rockland County, New York, on October 10, 2027, on a fast, flat and scenic course designed for competitive racing. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. and the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) at 9:00 a.m.; one Challenge combines the half marathon and the 5K, another pairs the Empire half marathon with the Garden State 10.

Well-placed aid stations provide water and sports drinks along the course. Supporting performance as well as the community, the event encourages donations of gently used sports equipment for Memorial High School. It features a dedicated elite athlete program and top-tier awards, including Tracksmith duffel bags and medals for the top age-group finishers. Bib pickup is simple, either in advance or on race morning. Runners who complete both this race and the Garden State 10 Miler receive an extra medal.
