Emory Homecoming 5K

Emory Homecoming 5K takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on October 24, 2026. A single 5K is on the program, starting at 8:30 a.m. as part of Emory University homecoming weekend.

Homecoming races have their own character — alumni back on campus, students, faculty and neighbors all in the same field — and the result is an event that is competitive at the front and cheerful everywhere else. The 5K distance means you can enter on general fitness, but it still rewards restraint: run the first mile a touch under your target pace and you will have something left for the last one. A short warm-up jog and a few strides before the gun matter more at this distance than any amount of last-minute training.
