About

The Edenton Nut Run takes place in Edenton, North Carolina (Chowan County), on October 2, 2027. The 10k Nut Run/Walk starts at 7:00 a.m. and the 5k Nut Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m., while the 15k Nutty Challenge combines both races (10K + 5K, about 9.3 miles / 15 km).

The course runs through historic downtown Edenton, past colonial buildings and panoramic waterfront views, before heading out into the rolling expanse of working peanut farmland. Race proceeds support the revitalization and preservation of Main Street Edenton. After the finish, runners can refuel and unwind at a post-race celebration featuring festival traditions such as a parade, a kids' sack race and live music.
